Rain, Rain and MORE Rain ...

Well it's done nothing but POUR since last night .. I think all day we've had maybe 20 mins where it wasn't pouring and just spitting .. the back yard is like a lake .. lucky duck is loving it tho ..

AF is gone .. now the wait !

AF officially left yesterday - this morning there's no sign of her again .. so finger's crossed I don't start spotting again in the next couple of days ...

I am going to make an appointment with our FS - Julie for the 31st July that way Peter can come with ... so hopefully we'll be starting OI and IUI in the next couple of weeks ! ...

OMG .. OMG .. "TERRI" WINS BB08 !!!!

OMG I've just spent the past 2 hours in tears .. lol .. happy tears ... the walk down memory lane for BB was incredible .. I have to admit tho there were a few years where I didn't watch .. but this year has to be THE BEST BB ever !!!!!

I am so so happy that Terri won, but then I feel sad for Rory .. I will be the 1st to admit that I didn't like Rory - he was a smart arse ... but as the weeks went on he showed his true compassionate side and yeah i fell in love with him ...

I really hope that another channel will take it up and hopefully do something good with it .. change the voting etc ..

AF is still here and driving me mental ... 1 min she's there the next she's gone .. it's like turning a tap on and off .. mum says it's NOT normal - but this is my body and what it used to always do .. spotting for weeks on end ..

I have the headaches to go with it .. have got a major one tonight - i'm normally in bed sound asleep but just had to watch BB08 ..

it's been just over 24 hours since i signed up for my iPhone - and i'm just about going demented waiting for it ! .. i hope i get the phone call soon to say it has arrived - don't think i could handle waiting 3-4 weeks ! ....

Hello !

What a week the past week has been ..

Peter started at his new job - 5 minutes from home which is a blessing for us because of the way petrol is .. normally it would take 20 mins for him to get to work but now it's roughly 5 mins .. we used to go through approx $ 70 a fortnight in petrol but we'll probably only use $ 70 a month :) .. so really happy with that !

We've got an appointment on Friday to see about leasing a car through the council using salary sacrifice - so maybe just maybe we could have a new car in a month ! .. just depends as we own our car outright - but it's getting old and it depends on how much per week it will cost us .. even tho fuel, rego, insurance, tyres and maintence are included in the price we pay per week - we still need to sit down and work out if it would be to our advantage or not ..

I finally took the step today and headed to Optus to get an iPhone - it was the 1st time i had seen 1 and oh my god i was sold there and then .. altho it took about an hour to get the contract done cause it was 1 problem after another .. i should have my new iPhone in 1-2 weeks !

Athena (the guinea pig) is very pregnant atm .. i can't wait to see how many bubs she will have .. i'm really excited .. Brinkley is a funny little fella when he hears me coming - he squeals and squeals ..

It's getting colder here in brissy atm .. already got the heater on and it's only 4.36pm how bad is that .. but i think i might be coming down with the flu - all my joints are aching !

AF is still hanging around - today she seems a little worse than what she has been - but still not enough to use anything .. it's quite odd actually but this is what i'm like off the pill .. can only hope and pray that by losing some more weight my body will come back to normal !

Well time to get up and cook dinner - we're have spag bol .. yummmmmm ..

wooooo hooooooo AF arrives by herself after 3 months !

Well AF arrived all by herself today ! .. yayyyyyyy .. I've been spotting for weeks and weeks now - not enough to use anything if that makes any sense ... 1 morning there would be a slight pinky show the next day nothing ..

Just to make sure I did a HPT tonight - BFN ... which is what I suspected in any case ..

Floor is FINALLY finished - back to a normal life !

Well it's finally over ! .. thank bloody god .. it only took from about the 13th June to 4th July 08 to get the floor down and finished ....

The guys finished on Friday (sorry for not updating was so so busy) .. and their work is amazing ! .. so much better than the 1st 2 idiots who had no idea .. especially the one who couldn't talk or understand english that much ..

So the weekend was really busy .. we decided to repaint inside - sounds stupid to some but a good idea .. so saturday was spend cutting in and repainting the walls, window frames/sills and skirting boards .. mind you it poured all day here so we had to put the fan on the air con on so the paint would dry - we were FREEZING !!!! .. lol ..

Sunday we moved most of the furniture back - having timber floors now we have to be careful we don't scratch it .. but there is a wax you buy from bunnings to fix any little marks or scratches ..

So we're almost back to a normal life .. yayyyyyyy .. at least we don't have the TV, leather lounge etc in our bedroom now .. and don't have to sit on the bed to eat and watch tv .. it's great to have the lounge room back ..

New photo's have been to added to the RENOVATIONS photo album - there is 1 only shot so far of the floor finished and that's of the hallway looking towards the kitchen (left) and lounge room (right) .. there are also some pictures of the 1st flooring attempt being pulled up ..

Well I better get my butt into gear go soooooooooo much to do it's not funny .. take care and enjoy !!!!

Day 6 - renovations July 08

Well here we are into day 6 ... and OMG i've got such a flamin headache ..

They arrived just before/after 8.30am - and I have to say we have much more confidence in the 2 guys that are here now .. they have measured etc .. and are now in the process of pulling up the timber flooring that Mark laid ..

Hopefully today we'll be really advanced and will be able to get back to a normal life ASAP ...

Day 5 - renovations - July 2008

You know what .. I'm sick to FUCKING death of this ! ..

The Joshua (guy who gave us the quote for the floor) came back last night (Tuesday) at 4.45pm awaiting the arrival of some kind of levelling machine thingy-ma-bob .. anyway he rang and rang and couldn't get hold of the guy .. so he tells me don't let him come in and take any tools - the tools have to stay until the job is finished or he pays the $ 1,020.00 for the timber that is already on the floor ..

Joshua rings me this morning and says "OK the apprentice is coming to take the tools - don't let him - you tell him Mark has to fix floor or pay money" .. so the young kid arrives - can hardly speak any english and has only been in Australia for 8 weeks !!!!!!!!

I tell him "fix floor and you can have tools - not fix floor tools stay and Mark pay $ 1,020 for the timber" .. the poor kid could hardly understand me so he rings Mark .. eventually Mark wants to talk to me - so I talk to him .. I told him "either fix the floor or tools stay until the money is paid" .. he argues with me over the phone .. but i stood my ground ! ... so this goes on all day .. until at 2pm this afternoon Mark and the apprentice arrive back .. he starts measuring .. he doesn't say a thing .. so I asked him "what's going on ???" .. he then says "Joshua on his way talk to him" .. next thing they start taking all the tools and loading up the car ?!

Joshua arrives and another fight of words breaks out .. finally Mark and the apprentice pack everything up and leave .. By this time I was almost at screaming point !

After they leave Joshua says "you not worry Jodee I look after you - new team coming tomorrow - forget about him .. This man much more experienced and skilled we will fix for you - level whole area including kitchen/dining/hallway and teh lounge" .. so what's happening now is they have to pull up approx 15 sqm of timber flooring that Mark put down and put down different thicknesses of ply board to bring the floor up level and then sand it down and then start laying the timber flooring ..

They started this fucking floor last friday - here we are almost 6 days later and still nothing .. it's heartbreaking i tell ya .. our furniture is scattered on the back verandah - which isn't that big and the rest of it is in our bedroom .. we had to move the bed over hard up to the wall and poor Peter has to climb into bed every night - my 2 seater leather lounge, our 151cm plasma tv and tv stand and cupboards are also in our room .. it's a wonder we can fit in there !

So we'll see what tomorrow brings - at this rate I think I might start writing a novel .. lol

Day 4 - renovations June-July 2008

OMG well what a fucking disaster - sorry but I'm really stressing atm ..

OK first things first - YES they started on the floor yesterday and I kept saying to the guy - it's not level .. they are chinese and very VERY hard to understand and he kept saying "yes, floor level" .. so anyway they get most of the floor done in the lounge room and we're thinking "wow" ..

after they had finished for the day .. we grabbed the new skirting board and put it up against the wall with the new floor and WOW WOW WOW !!! .. but hang on a minute why is there a huge gap between the skirting board and the new timber floor ??????????????

So we looked at the skirting board - hmm ok maybe it's not level so we grabbed a strip of timber flooring .. nup the same problem .. by this time I was really stressing !

I rang the guy and told him we weren't happy and he said he would come this morning - which he did .. and OMG did they have a fight in chinese - Peter, Phyliss and I were in the bedroom wetting ourselves laughing it sounded so damn funny .. of course we had no idea what they gibbering about ..

So as it turns out the WHOLE FUCKING FLOOR has to come up ! .. they are coming back this afternoon between 3 - 4pm with a levelling machine to check the floor ..

I've got a raging headache and tired of having a pig sty of a house ...........................
